GTA V had a bunch of in-game assets regarding the social media CEO character launching their new "Docking" concept. ("Someone's trying to Dock with me", "It's time to Dock", repurposed familiar crude hand gesture, commercial showing NSFW industrial design, etc.)
Looks like `docker` the software was shown several months before GTA V launch. Unclear whether GTA V's Docking/Dock appeared in any pre-launch marketing materials before then. The Docker, Inc., name came after GTA V launch.
After Docker the company became well-known, I could no longer find all the GTA V assets that I remembered seeing initially. So I wondered whether any assets that were easy to remove, had been.
“Favorite fun fact from researching A City on Mars was how ASTP in 1975 had to have androgynous docking so nobody was the girl spaceship”
From Apollo-Soyuz Wikipedia entry: “American and Soviet engineers settled their differences for a possible docking of American and Soviet spacecraft in meetings between June and December 1971 in Houston and Moscow, including Bill Creasy's design of the Androgynous Peripheral Attach System (APAS) between the two ships that would allow either to be active or passive during docking”
