This makes me think of the article "Dismissive Notes on Freud" that a friend wrote recently that said something about how weird it was for younger folks to find when someone is still treating Freud as if he was important for something, amusingly that article was attacking Freud's and Freudian's literary criticism in relation to Hamlet.
Another weird thing to me is Hamlet doesn't merit a mention here, even though it was probably the main focus of Freudian / Shakespearean literary criticism last century.
Maybe all that Oedipal stuff is just too embarrassing nowadays.
