Yeah, the movie is definitely a product of a simpler time when we uniformly expected politicians to at least nominally have the interests of the country at heart rather than merely being reality TV stars whose only real value is upsetting the other tribe.
My earlier comment was substantive and well received, but eventually flagged - a heckler's veto that doesn't even require coming up with anything intelligent to yell. The only thing remotely close to violating comment guidelines was using some colorful language to describe a public figure, so I am just going to repeat the substantive points without those apparently-triggering words.
