Finally, a relatable SpaceX use case: helping me run Claude Code for another hour before I hit the wall.
Given the political cloud surrounding Musk I'm surprised they aren't more low key about that. I'm certainly disinclined to ever use Claude now.
What a grown up, healthy attitude
musk's public image is well known, and the statement is reflecting a useful heuristic / business sense; some customers really would use claude less knowing that it's buddies with musk now. Your own immaturity leaks through. I would say that the one weakness for OP is that people okay with using claude but not okay with grok might be a different size overlap than expected (either more people fine with both, or more people disjoint, or it just doesn't factor in for people).
Saw this and yet... My usage of Claude has tanked (codex is better), but on the occasions I do use it (mostly for non-code), I blow through the 5hr usage super fast. Specifically on their Android app the accounting was different: same project, same content, same prompts, same output - but on mobile the usage was a fraction of the same query as their web UI. But that has seemingly been addressed recently also :(
I find the same. I can blow through the session limit on Pro in <an hour.
Yeah I was using it for legal stuff (a couple of months ago it was actually really good and with a bit of hand holding produced legal documents that judges could not distinguish from an actual lawyer - in a foreign language with a foreign legal system) and on average a single prompt or reply on mobile was ~2% of 5hr Pro usage, vs ~10 on webui. But not only does it now produce garbage, but maybe 5-6 replies and I'm already approaching the limit.
So now when it's down you can multiply that zero you're getting by two!
