Has Samsung ever created groundbreaking tech for an entirely new category, and NOT put it in their flagship Galaxy phone first?

Seems hard to believe they prioritize Apple over their own phone division.

I'd be happy with one that had a headphone jack and an sd card slot... but sure I guess.
